The Anti-Violence Project

Violence in our culture creates an environment where we cannot fully participate in every avenue of our lives. It affects our capacity to study, work, pursue an education and engage socially. Violence impacts our own self worth.

The University of Manitoba's current resources and support for students who have been affected by physical, sexual and emotional violence, as well as preventative programs for all students are lacking. This is an issue that needs attention from our student body.

The Anti-Violence Project is working on creating a service on campus that would assist ALL students who are dealing with the impacts of violence. If you want to help, you can fill out our survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TPL9LJZ and/or contact us at antiviolence@umsu.ca to get involved in the planning of our service.

Thank you!
